About the event
The Line Follower Challenge is all set to test your autonomous robot building skills. The task at hand is to build a basic LFR (line following robot) which can follow lines through sharp edges, curves and gaps, and reach the finish line in the shortest possible time.
Stages
The event is conducted in 2 stages
- Zonal level will be held in Comedkares Innovation Hubs across Karnataka.
- The State Level finale will be held in Bangalore.
Robot Specification
- The participating bots must be wireless and autonomous. It can be circular / Rectangular in style. BOT must fit inside a box of 25 centimetres length, 25 centimetres wide and 25 centimetres height at any point in time.
- Maximum weight should not be more than 5 Kgs including battery, however, a tolerance of 5% in weight is acceptable. Participants need to ensure:
- Batteries must be sealed, immobilised electrolyte type (gel cell, lithium, NiCad, or dry cells).
- The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more than 12V DC at any point in time for each robot.

- A team can have a maximum of 3 participants
- Each participant may only be a part of one team.

Robot Specification
- The robot should fit inside a box of 25cm*25cm*25cm.
- Robot should not exceed 5 kg.
- The robot can be wired, wireless or autonomous.
- The robot should be self-powered with supply not exceeding 12V (on board power supply).
- Power supply (only DC) should be on board. Participants cannot draw power from outside.
- Only one participant should control the robot; no player can be exchanged in the match.

- Respectful behavior is expected from all participants.

Build a robot whose task is to push the opposing robot out of the circular ring or flip it over. Different robots compete one-on-one against each other in a knock-out tournament. It’s football time and no-one plays soccer better than the engineers, in their own sophisticated way we hail this event ROBO SOCCER. All you soccer fans hold your breath, as we present to you soccer with an entirely new dimension.

- Maximum weight should not be more than 5 Kgs including battery, however, a tolerance of 5% in weight is acceptable. Participants need to ensure:
- Batteries must be sealed, immobilized electrolyte type (gel cell, lithium, NiCad, or dry cells).
- The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more than 12V DC at any point in time for each robot.
- Infrared light-reflecting materials must not be used on the outside. If robots are painted, they must be painted matte. Minor parts that reflect infrared light could be used only if other robots are not affected. Robots must not produce magnetic interference for other robots on the field.

- After a player leaves the in-game lobby, his or her avatar must remain fully clothed in the game for the remainder of the match.
